If you have been arrested for drunk driving, you are probably wondering what will happen next. A DUI conviction can result in significant fines, required class attendance and an increase in your insurance rates. It can lead to jail time, depending on previous convictions and your blood alcohol level (BAC).

Representing You at a DHSMV License Hearings

Most people's immediate concern after a DUI arrest is the restoration of their driver's license. Your driving privileges may be revoked unless you request a hearing before the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) within 10 days of your arrest. Mr. Rabby is qualified to take care of all details related to DMV hearings.

Investigating  the Prosecution's/ Police Case

Our first step in defending you against DUI charges is to investigate whether the police made any errors or wrongful stop. We determine whether the tests were administered correctly, whether law enforcement had probable cause to conduct the traffic stop and to make sure that your rights were not violated. Our attorneys once taught prosecutors how to try DUI cases. This experience helps our clients — we know where to look for weaknesses.

Common concerns after a DUI arrest include:

Should I pay the other traffic ticket that I got with my DUI ticket?

What if I live out of state - do I have to come back to Florida for a court appearance?

Could the DUI affect my insurance rates?

If a video of my field sobriety test was made, how will it be used?

Am I able to drive while my charges are pending?

Can I get a hardship license?

Should I have taken the breath test or refused it?

How long will this case take?

How much will it cost?

What if I have a previous DUI?

What if I damaged property and/or injured someone? Could I go to jail?

Every DUI case is different, and the response to these questions differs accordingly. If you have been charged with a DUI, Contact Chris Rabby to start getting answers immediately.

Rights Card

My lawyer has told me not to talk to anyone about my case, not to answer questions, and not to reply to accusations. Call my lawyer if you want to ask me questions, search me or my property, do any test, do any line-ups, or any other I.D. procedures. I do not agree to any of these things without my lawyer present and I do not want to waive any of my constitutional rights.
